Semiconductor fabrication - Semiconductor device fabrication is the process used to create chips, the integrated circuits that are present in everyday electrical and electronic devices. It is a multiple-step sequence of photographic and chemical processing steps during which electronic circuits are gradually created on a wafer made of pure semiconducting material.
Flip chip - A flip chip is one type of mounting used for semiconductor devices, such as IC chips, which does not require any wire bonds. Instead the final wafer processing step deposits solder beads on the chip pads.

Wafer prober - A wafer prober is a machine used to allow a semiconductor Wafer to be tested prior to its separation into individual dice or 'chips'. For electrical testing a set of microscopic contacts or probes called a Probe Card are held in place whilst the wafer is moved into electrical contact.
